George Marrogi and Antonietta Mannella faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court via video link on Tuesday morning for a committal mention.

Marrogi, who is serving 32 years behind bars for the 2016 murder of drug dealer Kadir Ors, appeared in court from Barwon Prison.

Mannella appeared in court from Dame Phyllis Frost Centre in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

They each pleaded guilty to one count of importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug.

Prosecutors dropped a second charge against each of them.

Mannella was charged in April after being accused of importing a massive shipment of drugs into Australia on behalf of Marrogi’s gang in February. He was also charged in April.

She did not make a bail application on Tuesday.

Both were remanded in custody to face County Court on January 24 for a plea hearing.
