Over the past few months, the tabloids have really been pushing the “Eva Mendes is now BFFs with Ryan Gosling’s mother” stories. Ryan’s mom Donna and Eva have met several times, and according to Eva’s publicist’s tabloid plants, they get along really well. I do suspect that Donna is probably fine with Eva – after all, Ryan brought Eva to his mom’s college graduation, and I don’t think he would have done that without knowing for sure that the two ladies are friendly. Of course, I can’t help but think that Eva might be working the mom to ensure that Ryan stays close. Does that make sense? You know what I mean. Every woman knows what I mean. Is Eva working Donna?
After nine months of dating, Eva Mendes is ready to take things to the next level with beau Ryan Gosling.
“She starting to think about marriage and kids,” says a Mendes pal. “She loves serious relationships, and she wants all of that.”
Luckily, Eva has an ally in Gosling’s mom, Donna, who is just as eager to see her son settle down. “Eva hit it off with Donna immediately,” explains the insider. “Now they text and email all the time!” So, naturally, when the actor went to Ontoario to watch his mom graduate from Brock University on June 6, Mendes was by his side.
Says the pal, “Eva and Donna just get along really, really well.”

THAT is what I mean. Using the mom to get a son to commit. Dropping hints to the mom that grandchildren could be on the way if only Gosling would get it together and just commit. What I come away with is the idea that Eva is playing for keeps – she’s in it to win it. And it wouldn’t surprise me at all if she got pregnant. As for Ryan – he seems fine with it, I guess. I’m not going ascribe “victim of a villainess’s plot” status. He’s a big boy. He knows what he’s doing. Apparently, he just really digs Eva.
